Naval Architecture

Naval Architecture: 3GA Marine Inc. prides itself on our attention to detail, when it comes to our naval architectural design.  Technology is a key factor in naval architectural design, and we strive to keep our knowledge current with regular consultation with vendors and engineering software developers.  Designing and modifying vessels that need to comply with a variety of regulatory bodies (Transport Canada, ABS, USCG, DNV GL, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas and many others) it is a critical task taken on by 3GA Marine to stay up to date with the latest regulatory changes.

To provide designs that truly work as intended, requires an intimate understanding of vessel operations.  Our naval architects have gained experience working aboard ships and in shipyards.  We partner with owners and operators to design vessels that are ideally suited to a specific purpose, by applying engineering solutions to meet the expressed needs of each client.  Also, as naval architects and marine engineers, we seek to improve our design practices to benefit our environment.  Examples include minimizing the use of hazardous materials and environmental contaminates in the design while seeking ways to minimize air emissions, energy use and discharges to water.  We also look for ways to maximize use of recycled and recyclable material as well as rapidly renewable and regional materials.

Our Naval Architecture services include:
